        RECIPES FOR HEALTHY HAIR
Herbal infusion: to make up a standard herbal infusion. Place all the herbs into a bowl, add boiling water over the herbs. Cover and steep overnight, then strain. Use infusions for shampoos, conditioners, hair rinses , colouring and treatments. Appropriate herbs are the herbs for your specific hair type. Be creative and change your formulas, for the hair likes to be fed with variety.
Essential oils: penetrate deeply into the hair shaft and follicle and produce healthy, sinning hair. Use to add to shampoos, conditioners, hair rinses, lotions and oils. Add 15-25 drops of essential oils to 200 mis of shampoo or conditioner.
Conditioner
The following conditioning formulas should be massaged into the hair and scalp, combed through and left on for 20 - 30 minutes. Cover hair with a plastic shower cap to retain the heat. It is best to use before shampooing your hair.
Egg and honey: beat one egg, stir in 3 ml (l/2tsp) honey, and 75 ml (l/2cup) of herbal infusion.
Herbal oil and honey: place into ajar 1/2 cup of herbal oil and 1 cup of honey, shake well and leave to steep for 2 days.
Cold pressed oils: can be used as a pre- conditioner, slightly heat the oil and add essential oils for extra benefits.
Kombucha: rain water 275 ml, 25 g of dried rosemary herbs, 275 ml of kombucha vinegar. Bring the water to boil, add rosemary and simmer for 10 minutes, then strain, cool and bottle. Use the lotion after the hair has been washed, then rub vigorously into the scalp with finger tips.
